Mental health is gradually receiving much needed attention globally owing to the rapid rate in which it is contributing to disease burden. Mental health is integral to the well-being of all categories of the population regardless of age, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and other separating markers. However, minimal resources are allocated everywhere to understand and develop better strategies to combat this issue. Despite there being a wealth of knowledge on mental health in traditional health sciences like Ayurveda and Yoga, very less is discussed and promoted, especially outside of its origin country. Though widespread use of these systems of medicine for diverse psychiatric conditions is known, very little has been deliberated scientifically and it is now the time to provide a platform for such dialogue that can benefit Herbalists, Ayurveda practitioners, Naturopaths, Yoga practitioners and the General public.

Ayurveda and Yoga strongly believe in the inter-relatedness of the mind and body in health and disease. As such there is a lot of emphasis on holistic approach to the management of diseases and much impetus is also given to preventive and promotive care. The AAC Conference 2020 will give the participants incredible opportunity to interact with renowned practitioners having in-depth insights and experience in mental health and to learn more about

  1. Ayurveda approaches to diagnosing diverse mental health issues
  2. Practical tips on holistically managing key psychiatric illnesses with herbs and therapeutics
  3. Integrating Ayurveda and Yoga in existing care
  4. Incorporating traditional psychotherapies to enhance mental health and well-being
  5. Diet, food and its influence on mental health

and many more exhilarating subjects.

Register for the AAC 2020 conference if you are an Ayurveda practitioner or a Herbalist or a Naturopath wanting to enhance your knowledge and skills in the area of mental health or a Allied health professional wanting to test the waters of what Ayurveda and Yoga can offer for mental health.
